Field notes Palm c. 7 m tall in total. Living leaves restricted to apex, spreading/ascending. Dead leaves persistent along caudex, reflexed-appressed. Petioles 2 m or more long, slender, margin serrate but not spiny. Lamina fan-like, of linear segments to 40 cm long. Caudex c. 35 cm diam., entirely clothed in dense covering of coarse brown fibres.
