Event remarks Royal Geographic Society Qld/Australian Geographic Scientific Study. Open woodland of Acacia shirleyi on white sandstone pavement. 400m below edge of scarp, on terrace. Almost no shrubs and sparse Cleistochloa subjuncea growing in leaf litter and white pebbles. Sparse procumbent spreading grass forming a pure stand and tangled mass in an area 10m x 30m under Acacia shirleyi in slight seepage area. Soil slightly peaty. Foliage quite resinous.
