Occurrence remarks Tall tree, height 30 m, bole 14 m. Outer bark dark brown, inner bark yellow to brown yellow. Wood cream-white. Leaves shining dark green above, shining midgreen below. Flowers with orange calyx, bright red corolla, stamens and style, green ovary. Fruit midgreen pod becoming dark brown with dark shining brown seeds when ripe. Local name: Tangere (Garumala language).
