Occurrence remarks Large tree with spreading crown to 30m tall. Leaflets somewhat soft, with hairy domatia on midvein on lower surface. Lateral veins on leaflets prominent, lenticels obvious on branchlets. Large emergent tree with brown, scaly and somewhat tessellated bark, prominently plank-buttressed. Sterile specimen from recent windfall branches.

Supplied as "Dark grey sandy clays and loams on gentle to moderate slopes derived from the Triassic Landsborough Sandstones. Tall notophyll vine forest of Argyrodendron trifoliatum, Pseudoweinmannia lachnocarpa, Beilschmiedia obtusifolia and Toona ciliata; lower tree layer of abundant Archontophoenix cunninghamiana; shrubs of Wilkiea macrophylla; common vines include Trophis scandens, Austrosteenisia blackii and Cissus sp."
