Locality | Cape Barren Island, Bass Strait. About 480 m at 110 degrees from Phils Hill's summit. On the upper part of the east-south-eastern spur of Phils Hill. |
Habitat |
Supplied as "Amongst granite bedrock and blocks (about 70% cover in all). The site was burnt in October 2006 and the epicormic shoots of the dominant {Eucalyptus globulus} subsp. {globulus} (to 15 m) give a cover of c. 20% so far. {Acacia verticillata} and {Cassinia aculeata} of the understorey were all killed but {Bursaria spinosa} (two) have tillered as have the {Eucalyptus ambigua} saplings (c. 5% cover so far). Other regrowth: {Phyllanthus gunnii} (two), about 24 {Gynatrix pulchella}, {Olearia lirata} (one), {Goodia lotifolia} (browsed) plus {Lepidosperma elatius} (c. 5%), {Pteridium esculentum} (c. 5%), {Senecio biserratus} (one), {Hydrocotyle hirta}, {Wahlenbergia gracilis}, {Asperula conferta} var. {abbreviata}, {Oxalis perennans}, {Echinopogon ovatus} and an exotic, like a {Sonchus}, with its main leaves all basel. It also occurs on Mount Munro but has not yet been collected." |
