Occurrence remarks	A comparatively short stemmed tree fern of about 3-5 feet [0.9-1.5 m] high. It grows principally in a moist place. These specimens were collected from the banks of Deep Creek. I nave also noted it elswhere particularly towards the base of Mount Lidgbird and near Erskine Valley. It is called 'Silver-Fern', by reason of the underside of the frond being silvery, J.L. Boorman, 17/5/1920. [Listed in census of vascular plants of Lord Howe Island, H.D., 8/8/1978].
