Occurrence remarks Flowers to 5 cm diameter. Petal underside always mauve - tipped, conspicuous in bud. Stem bracts silvery - like {C. astelliifolia} culms to 18 inches high. Growth habit tufted or shortly monopodial with fibrous remains of leaves, but also with long scaly rhizomes.
