| Occurrence remarks | Habit: gregarious, on living tree bark. Stipe flesh white, dull orange, then black. Pileus with fine, erect, conical, black scales. Tubes and pores light grey, staining dark orange then black. Stipe 40-55mm long, 10-13mm broad, equal, coarsely reticulate to sub-alveolate at apex, with scabers associated with reticulum, floccose pubescent below, black, with interior as in pileus. |
