Field notes Perennial, prostrate, stoloniferous herb, forming patches to ca. 1 metre across. Leaves linear, and or slightly incurved at apex, triquetrous, mature leaves ca. 7-8 (- 10 mm) long x ca. 1-2 mm wide, hospital green, glaucous,not red-dotted as indicated in Fl.Vic. Fruiting capsules single or occasionally paired.

Occurrence remarks Growing mostly by itself on exposed ground on track, and where it grows among other plants it tends to produce longer branches, with greater leaf internode distance, longer leaves and more open habit, less clumped. About 50 plants (mostly small patches less than 30 cm across), over 50-100 metre linear strip. Attached aerial photo is a photocopied version of the one found at site.

Supplied as "Growing just above the creek and immediately adjacent to a small remnant saltmarsh with Sarcocornia quinqueflora, Suaeda australis and Triglochin striatum. Lampranthus not in saltmarsh but on a dirt track above it, on black soil."
