Field notes Compound fruit body with overlapping segments, the pileus 'vinaceous grey' or similar, rough to the touch with irregular, upraised lines radiating outwards towards the margin, with individual segments 4-5 cm long and broad. Hymenial surface with irregularly shaped pores, 1-2 per mm, tending to form a labyrinthine pattern. Spores abundant, oblong to broadly elliptical to tear-drop shaped, hyaline, 5-6 x 3-4 microns, walls smooth.
