Occurrence remarks | Collected by David Bender from own property. I found three specimens of Entonaema about 100 m from the previous site, growing on large fallen branch (or flood debris) held by vines just above the ground. In this case they were completely dehydrated. The previous specimens much the same height and similar blackening of the surrounding wood. I think the reason I noticed this cryptic specimen was it's smell, which almost irresistable a bit like truffle. I handled the peice collected this morning and the smell has remained on my fingers all day. The growing specimen from years ago was very attractive to flies with the same, but very strong odour. |
