Organism remarks Gregarious, in groups. Pileus: 6-25 mm broad , circular, convex or plane, minutely depressed at centre, often becoming umbilicate, at times plane or with margin uplifted; margin finely incurved at first, becoming plane, sometimes uplifted, translucent striate, crenulate; surface smooth, hygrophanous, appearing to become slightly fibrillose as it dries, rusty brown when moist (Methuen 8D8-8E8 or paler 7D8); drying pale 7C6. Flesh: concolorous; difficult to estimate thickness; not bruising. Lamellae: up to 13 mm long; sinuate to subdecurrent; moderately broad; close to subdistant; sometimes anastomosing & distorted; face ridged, margin smooth; often powdered with spores; pinkish brown 9D6-5. Stipe: 124-35 mm long x 1 to 3-4 mm wide; equal at first, becoming broader at apex, tapering downwards, central, terete, becoming canaliculate; longitudinally appressed fibrillose; dark brown 8E8-8F8 or paler 7D7; paler at base, almost white at base, drying paler. Flesh: paler, fistulose. Spore print: white. Odour: fungussy.
