Event remarks Locally frequent (80 plants of all ages counted at this location; 90 counted in next gully west of this location) shrub to small tree to 7m high. trunks of older plants often with raised vertical ribs. New stems with stellate hairs, older branches and trunks glabrous with roughened grey bark. Leaves with lamina to 6.6cm long and to 1.2cm wide, green to grey green above with small depression often containing small stellate hairs, lower surface silvery grey with dense covering of stellate hairs; midrib raised below and slightly depressed above; petiole to 7mm long. Flowers either male or female (in the same raceme) with up to 23 flower buds counted per raceme, only a few flowers opening at any one time. Male flowers with 10 stamens; filaments cream; anthers flattened, cream and opening marginally to reveal golden pollen. Female flowers with 3 stigmas each divided fan like into 4-6linear limbs. Fruit initially green with stellate hairs.
