Occurrence remarks Erect shrub to c. 2.3 m tall. Leaves discolorous, arranged in a single plane. Flowers solitary, axillary, on slender stalks; green, becoming dull red. Fruit a fleshy capsule, maturing white through to red and eventually splitting to reveal dark brown to black seeds. Appears to be locally naturalised.
