Organism remarks | Cap: 10-26 mm diameter, circular, convex to broadly convex with slight umbo. Margin incurved to decurved, entire when young becoming slightly eroded when mature. Seriaceous, moist, appressed squamulose (white scales, sparse). Colour orange at centre 103-105) lighter at margin in older speciemens (117). Flesh: white/orange brown, 3.5 mm thick, firm. Gills: 4-11 mm long, 2-4 mm deep, adnate, narrow, close. Faces smooth when young then pruinose, edge fimbriate. Sandy yellow maturing to yellowish brown. Three tiers of lamellulae (L=32, L approximately 128 for whole cap (3 tiers)). Stem: 25-48 mm long, 4-7 mm broad, central, terete, equal with swollen base, longitudinally striate, arachnoid cortina fibrillose zone reticulate, white with golden brown fibrillose zone. Flesh: fleshy fibrous, fistulose. Basal mycelium: abundant, white rhizomorphs. Spore print: dark brown. |
