Locality Cape Barren Island, Bass Strait. About 265 m at 83.25 degrees from the un-named summit (414 m) of the ridge SE of Mt Munro. North-eastern corner of remnant of ridge SE of Mt Munro.
Habitat Forming part of the narrow north-eastern corner of the major remnant of rainforest understorey of the south-eastern side of the ridge. The collected shrub rises to 4.8 m and is 20 cm in diameter at 1.2 m. Pomaderris apetala and B. arborescens run downhill from the corner. The fire of Oct 2006 burnt right up to the edge of the remnant here. The uphill slope, and that to the east, was long-since simplified, and stripped of eucalypts, by many fires. The first survivors, to the south-east, are [Eucalyptus] globulus subsp. globulus.
