Occurrence remarks | Specimen 50. Uncommon, between 2-10 plants on an area less than a hectare adjacent to the site. A tall everlasting daisy, 30-40 cm tall, with woolly stems (dense white tomentum), branched; leaves basal and cauline, basal leaves lanceolate to oblanceolate, narrow, 5-8 cm long and 4-8 mm wide, cauline leaves smaller (reducing in size towards the apices); inflorescences are solitary heads, up to 2.5 cm in diameter, bright yellow, outer bracts triangular. |

Locality | c 1.4 km E of the private property 'Forty Downs', and c. 150 metres S of the Forty Downs road., 12 km N of Coonabarabran, Pilliga Nature Reserve. |

Supplied as "Growing on midslope of a hill in a sandy loam associated with sandstone substrate (Pilliga Sandstone) within a Corymbia trachyphloia subsp. amphistomatica/Eucalyptus crebra/ E. rossii open forest. Common associated taxa include Exocarpus cupressiformis, Callitris enderlicheri, Pultenaea cinerescens, Persoonia cuspidifera, Leucopogon muticus, Grevillea trinervia, Joycea pallida, Boronia glabra, Persoonia sericea, Pomax umbellata, Hibbertia obtisifolia, poranthera microphylla, Grevillea floribunda subsp. floribunda, Actinotus helianthi, Lomandra filiformis subsp. filiformis, Platysace ericoides narrow-leaf form, Lepidosperma laterale and Schoenus ericetorum. Site considered to be in an excellent condition due to no weeds, regeneration in all layers, healthy trees and good structural integrity. Litter was the dominant groundcover component (52% cover).." |
