Occurrence remarks 'Basalt Creek', c. 33km SW of Bauhinia, Central Qld. Ridge crest. Brown loam with stones on surface. Seringia corollata shrubland with emergent Eucalyptus sp. (ironbark), Acacia blakei, A. longispicata, A. bancroftiorum and Lysicarpus angustifolius; shrub layer includes Boronia bipinnata, Gonocarpus elatus and Dodonaea vestita; ground layer dominated by Setaria surgens, Melinis repens, Aristida caput-medusae, Aristida sp., Cleistochloa subjuncea and Cymbopogon obtectus. Rounded shrub to c. 1.2m high; brown bark, branches hairy and stems and branches sticky; leaves concolorous (dark green above, whitish green below) and aromatic (fruity); flowers pink, five petals c. 1.0cm diameter; buds pink; fruit green turning brown when dry. Abundant at site.
