Occurrence remarks Cap conves, densely floccose with black squames set on a pale grey background, 35-45mm diameter; stipe 35-45 x 10-12mm, annulate, floccose; flesh reddening slightly, particularly in the base of the stipe; then blackening. Spores reticulate, 7.9±0.7 x 6.6 ± 0.5µm, Q= 1.2.
