Disposition in collection
Occurrence remarks Tree to 20 m with dbh to 40 cm. Often with clear bole to 6-8 m. Appears to be in a continual state of flower / fruit production. Many old capsules had shed their seed. Donated to CANB by CSIRO Forestry (FRI) and Australian Tree Seed Centre - 2010. Australian Tree Seed Centre Voucher Specimen.

Supplied as "Open woodland, floodplain. Alluvium, loamy sand, white grey. Inhabits areas peripheral to {Melaleuca dealbata} and {M. viridiflora} swamplands and is also a common component of rainforest as an early successionary species (they are often 25 m at these sites."
