Occurrence remarks 2x1x1.2 m in height. Pink flower. Fruit. Spreading downslope. Infested with cochineal. Some pads flattened and distorted possibly due to previous cochineal attack or possibly sprayed with an inadequate herbicide. Notes on live material by R.J. Chinnock: Stems with c. 18 ribs 3.5-4.5 cm diameter. Dull grey green. Spines 6-7, erect and radiating. Many shoots appear fasciated.
