Occurrence remarks Tree to 20metres tall; DBH c. 25cm. Bark silvery grey, flaky. Foliage bluish-green, leaves discolourous, petioles often reddish. Young foliage and stems glaucous. Leaves mostly 3 lobed, but sometimes undivided in upper parts of plant (eg, near inflorescences). Copious milky latex flows from cut stems. Male and female flowers in terminal clusters, yellowish-green. Female flowers larger than male. Immature fruit pale green, 6-valved capsules c. 1.5cm diameter.

Habitat
Supplied as "This species has naturalised along the banks and bed of Blackfellow Creek. Mature trees, saplings to 8m tall and seedlings present. Reported to be scattered downstream at least as far as Bruce Highway (c. 500m away). Trees also observed upstream of this site. Steep sided creek banks in gravelly/sandy alluvium. Remnant riparian vegetation present on creek banks but stream is otherwise surrounded by sugarcane. Dense Panicum maximum understorey at this site. Growing with Macaranga tanarius and Pipturus argenteus."
