Locality Flinders Island, Bass Strait. About 1.945 km at 261 degrees from the summit of the Sugarloaf [Brougham Sugarloaf]. Western ridge of mudstone massif.
Habitat
Supplied as "In a minor saddle of the final western ridge of the mudstone massif. Allocasuarina verticillata (to 10.5 m, c. 20 per cent, missed by the fire of Jan 2003) and sapling Allocasuarina verticillata (to 4.8 m, c. 50 per cent, regrowth since the fire). The Pellaea falcata occurs in 7 m by up to 3 m. With them are Poa labillardierei (one), Lepidosperma elatius (one) and Urtica incisa. Eucalyptus globulus subsp. globulus persist nearby but there are no saplings. The fires continue to decrease the cover of Eucalyptus globulus subsp. globulus and increase that of the Allocasuarina verticillata."
