Occurrence remarks Forming dense stands. Acaulescent; leaf sheath, from base to petiole 235cm, mid brown in colour, open, fibrous and unarmed; petiole 350cm long and unarmed; rhachis 12.5m long; blade pinnate, dull dark green above, paler below, unarmed and with 75 pinnae per side placed regularly in one plane with a praemorse apex; spadix among leaves, arched, with 4-5 spathes which are dark brown in colour, woody, smooth and unarmed; infrutescence 235cm long with 3 to 4 rachillae which are brown in colour; fruit med dark brown. Material in alcohol.
