Occurrence remarks Cactus to 2 m high. Cladodes grey-green; outer cladodes to 1.5 cm wide; cladodes forming the trunk of larger plants to 7 cm across. Spines mostly 1 per areole but up to 4. Sepaloid perianth segments brownish pink on outer surface. Petaloid perianth segments to 1.6 cm long, pale pink to whitish pink; stigma white, 5-lobed; style pink (white towards base); stamens with pale pink to whitish pink filaments and white anthers. Fruit mostly single but up to 3 in a chain
