Occurrence remarks Sprawling herbaceous plant to c. 40 cm. Adaxial surface of pedicels clearly showing vestiture. Pedicels longer than silicula. Auriculate-sagittate cauline leaf bases. Leaves somewhat fleshy and 'waxed' to the touch. On pushed up embankments of deep red-brown volcanic soil. Evidence of significant disturbance in past. Basalt geology. On western edge of Araucarian vineforest thicket on what was originally part of an extensive grassy bald. Plants facing slightly WSW on top of steep gully, in very exposed situation in a small bare patch surrounded on all sides by kikuyu grass and other exotic weeds. About 60 plants in ungrassed area 2 sq. m. Appears to be declining at this site.
