Occurrence remarks Locally common (>20 plants nearby but many more elsewhere on slope) herb to 30 cm high. Stems and leaves dark green with spreading then antrorse white hairs. Ray florets mauve, disc florets yellow. Cypselas dark brown, pappus brownish white. Silica gel material at NE. Digital images with John Hosking.

Supplied as "2-5 degree N facing slope. Moonbi and Walcha Road adamellites substrate. Grey brown sand. Eucalyptus spp. woodland with grass and herb understorey, growing with Lomandra sp., Chrysocephalum apiculatum s.lat. (J.R.Hosking 3727), Conyza sumatrensis, Aristida ramosa, Themeda triandra, Cheilanthes sieberi subsp. sieberi, Eragrostis sp., Opercularia hispida, Glycine sp. and Wahlenbergia sp."
