Organism remarks Fruiting on pieces of presudoscleritium above the soil. Cap (3 caps): 15-30 mm diam. brown (leather appearance), broadly convex, flesh white, solid. Cap surface dry (very finely tomentose). Gills:creamy white, adnate to subdecurrent, one set lamellulae extending half way to stem. Stem: robust, 17 x 8 mm, white at apex changing to brown ca half way to base, flattened somewhat, flesh white, solid (same as cap). White section sporadic coverint of brown scales which gradually chanes to the even brown colour of the bsae. Very finely tomentose over the brown section.
Occurrence remarks Undulating plain; red-brown loam clay. Burnt 25 December 1997.
