Occurrence remarks Broad river floodplain with associated seasonal wetlands, currently flooded. Substrate clayey silt. Melaleuca dominated woodland with rainforest patches on higher ground. Mangifera indica naturalised along riverside. Submerged weed forming a dark thread-like mass in Bensbach River. Reported by locals to have increased in abundance recently. Reported to diminish water quality and impede fishing. Collected on NAQS Joint Survey for pests and diseases.
