Occurrence remarks Erect herb to 50 cm high. Stems reddish on upper surface, green below. Leaves glabrous, green above and often with central reddish marks, paler below. Involucral glands 4, each with a white petaloid appendage. Style arms 6. Stamens with clear filaments (filaments often divided) and pink anthers. Capsules glabrous, in terminal and axillary cymes. Area often sprayed to remove vegetation but does not seem to have been sprayed recently
