Occurrence remarks Adult plants suberect to 50 cm high and 1 m wide at most, divaricately branched. Terminal cladodes readily disarticulating, glossy green with purplish tinges. Areoles filled with white wool, glochids brown, spines reddish brown. Petaloids yellow (light). Hypanthium glossy green with purplish tinges. Common over area 100 m sq. Most plants are small segments regenerating.
