Occurrence remarks | Locally common (>50 at this location, >20 also at corner of Davies Lane and Mt Irvine Road, Mt Wilson (330 30' 15"S 1500 23' 00"E, altitude 1020 m) and others seen elsewhere on basalt in Mt Wilson area) shrub to 3.5 m high. Leaves on short shoots glabrous, dark green and glossy above, paler below, margins with 1 or 2 spines each side of the centre on mature plants, more spines present on leaves of young plants. Flowers yellow, pedicels pink to red. Fruit purple-black. |
