Field notes Upright, very compact shrub, 1 m tall, 1-1.5 m wide, dense canopy. Leaves light green upper lamina, near glabrous undersurface, bronze tone, stellate, tomentose. No flowers. Fruits - 2 of the possible carpels forming.
Occurrence remarks Subjected to strong and frequent southerly sea wind. All vegetation stunted, compact, leaves thicker than same species inland. 15 counted.
