Occurrence remarks Locally abundant (1000s) prostrate herb. Stems densely hairy towards cyathea. Leaves green, glabrous above except for hairy margins; hairy below. Cyathea hairy all over and in terminal cymes.

Supplied as "0-10 degree slopes on edge of road. Basalt substrate. Black loam. Growing with mostly small exotic species including Petrorhagia nanteuilii (Burnat) P.W. Ball & Heywood, Polycarpon tetraphyllum (L.) L. and various exotic grasses; a few plants of Chamaesyce prostrata (Aiton) Small also present."
