Field notes Solitary. Pileus applanate, 68 mm diam., mid brown in centre, becoming pale greyish-brown towards margin, with irregular translucent patches, moist, straight entire margin. Stipe curved, 6 cm long, 9 mm diam., cylindrical, equal, centrally attached, pale, white at apex, ivory to pale grey-brown below annulus, longitudinally fibrillose, white tomentose at base. Annulus membranous, close to apex of stipe, upper surface stained dark brown from spores. Lamellae close, pale greyish-brown, margin uneven.
