Occurrence remarks | Occasional (1 in flower, 4 with early flower stems, 5 others only rosettes on 21 September 2008) orchid to 11 cm high. Original one with 3 flowers, only lowest one open on 21 September. Other specimens collected 50 m down track towards lookout on 2 October 2008). At the latter site at the time of collection there were 17 plants present, those in flower with 2 to 5 flowers with up to 3 open at one time, rosettes at the base of these plants mainly with dry leaves on 2 October. Many more P. hamata s.lat. seen alongside paths in the Park on 20 October 2008. The following applies to the original collection: Leaves in a basal rosette, leaf surfaces pale green, often pinkish on margins. Plants also with 3 stem-hugging cauline leaves. Flowers red, greenish brown and white. Digital images with J.R.Hosking. |
