Occurrence remarks | Locally common (>40 plants in collection area) herb to 50 cm high. Milky sap arises from broken stems, leaves or roots. Taproots larger with age. Leaves mid green above and below. Florets yellow. Peduncle with scattered stellate hairs. Cypselas red-brown alongside road and grey off road in areas with a lot of Trifolium repens L. Involucral bracts of fruiting heads about as long as the pappus. Larger plants present away from the road and growing amongst T. repens. Digital images of J.R.Hosking 3617 with John Hosking. |
