Field notes Low-growing bulbous plant, bulb to c. 6.5 cm diameter, outer scales brown, inner white; roots white, thick. Leaves narrow oblanceolate, c. 35 x 3 cm, mid green. Perianth mauve-purple, tepals 9.5 x 3.5 mm, oblong, becoming oblanceolate as margins recurve; filaments blue-purple, c. 7 mm long, dilating below, epitepalous, anthers yellow; ovary blue.
