Field notes Cap 1-11 mm in diameter, 2-4 mm in height, umbrella shaped with a central depression. Mature fruit bodies slight flaring at outer edge. Younger caps slightly rough surface, finely hairy. Older caps surface smoother. Colour - young caps - darkish brown, older caps - pinkish brown Fungimap colour chart between 54 and 56. Between 12 to 13 rounded ridges extending from central depression to edge of pileus like a mousse desert mould for cooking. Gills distant, 9 to 13 in number average 11, gill edges same colour as pileus. In young specimens, gill attachment at pileus edge flares out. Gills often curved in shape, max depth 2 mm.
