Occurrence remarks Locally abundant (many 100s of plants in area, locally common from this area to just S of Edgeroi) twining herb to 1.6 m on supporting vegetation. Stems green to purple with spreading whitish green hairs. Leaves to 11 cm long (including lobes). and to 6 cm wide, dark green adaxially, paler abaxially, both surfaces with scattered short white hairs, hairs more dense on uppermost leaves. Sepals green to purple with white hairs. Corolla white, short white hairs present internally in throat area. Fruit with 2-4 seeds purple to brown with short white hairs when dry on plant and prior to drying in press. Location of this plant pointed out by Phil Spark as the species appeared to be weedy in this area. The species is possibly introduced to the area. Silica gel material at NE. Supplied as "Plain between highway and chemical fallowed paddock. Grey vertosol soil. Area of herbs and grasses, growing with Ammi majus (and often climbing dried plants of this species), Marsilea drummondii, Bidens subalternans, Cyperus bifax, Cullen tenax, Rhynchosia minima, Vicia (vegetative) and Sida spinosa."
