Supplied as "Growing on lateritic ridges that have been a cap of "Pea Gravel". These soils are very moisture retentive as they contain a good deal of fine sandy clay. This tree grows on the rocky weathered slopes at the edge of a heathland community. Ass. spp. include Triodia sp., Homoranthus sp., Calytrix, Homalocalyx, Prostanthera, Dodonaea, Xanthorrhoea, Lysicarpus, Micromyrtus, Grevillea, Epacris, Casuarina, Callitris."
