Occurrence remarks | Cap to 200mm diam., with large pyramidal warts. Stipe to 95mm long, curved for 30mm at top and 25mm at base. Fb 'woody' when cut. Cap light brown between scales. Stipe black with 'flaking' at top of stipe; base light brown/grey. Flesh cream changing very quickly to brown; tubes light brown grey in smaller specimens and dark grey in bigger ones. On emerging specimens there were flatter warts with cream brown background. Up to 10 specimens in area. |
