Occurrence remarks | ORIGIN: from plant collected c. 5 km S of Branxholme, on W side of Henty Highway in drainage line. (Originally collected Jan 1990; 37 55' S 141 46' E; Vic Grid Ref.: D 50. Growing in dense, heavily shaded Leptospermum lanigerum swamp shrubland to c. 3 m high on wet alluvial peaty loam derived from Recent Volcanics. Ass. spp. include Leptospermum lanigerum, Gahnia clarkei, G. trifida, Selliera radicans, Leucopogon lanceolata, Rubus parvifolius, Triglochin striatum sens. lat., *Pittosporum undulatum. c. 20 plants noted. Loosely caespitose herb to c. 30 cm at base; leaves long, arching, inflorescence to c. 180 cm high. See MEL 2036358 for Holotype. [Photographed for GPI 2015.] |
