Disposition in collection
Occurrence remarks Localised to one area. About 200 flowering plants in a radius of approximately 6 metres. Plants growing under the overhang of the canopy and toward the mallee bases; loosely grouped together. Leaves: single, lanceolate, hairy with reddish purple stripe leading up from the base on the underneath of the leaf; varying in length from 50mm to 170mm by upto 18mm wide. Flowers: singly (occasionally double headed), strongly greenish-yellow with similar coloured labellum, occasionally with a red lip; no perfume could be detected. Flower parts held starry and then slightly downwards. Sepals with long, blackish, thick 'clubs'; very rarely there were 'clubs' on petals. Calli reddish with pale tops; six rows of lamina calli. Stem height varying up to 450mm. Fruits: numerous capsules present. {Arachnorchis latifolia} growing in the same area and {Arachnorchis australia} (?) growing in adjacent areas.
