Georeference remarks The locality details recorded on the specimen label by J. Galbraith appear to be incorrect. In her account in Vict. Naturalist, Galbraith notes that E.A. Chesterfield collected the specimen "near McMillan's Lookout". This accords with another Chesterfield collection from the same date, as well as the known distribution of the species. | When this record was viewed on 29/10/2019, coordinates had been recorded for McMillans Lookout NE of Omeo, well outside the known distribution of Dampiera galbraithiana. Advice received from Dale Tonkinson (email received 9/10/2019, see attachment) is that the correct locality is McMillan Lookout near Licola. Dale also suggests that the collector's notes on geology may have been misinterpreted by Galbraith as locality information. - N.G. Karunajeewa, 29/10/2019.
