Occurrence remarks Frequent, between 26-100 plants recorded on the site (20 x 20 m quadrat). This shrub was a dominant shrub species, with 10-15 % cover. An erect shrub, 1-2 m high; branchlets angled; phyllodes straight or slightly curved, elliptic to narrow-lanceolate, 2.5-7 cm long, 3-7 mm wide, resinous, dotted with resin glands (black in colour under a hand lens), 1 prominent longitudinal vein, 1 small gland at the base (just above the pulvinus); inflorescence 1-2 simple axillary peduncles, flower heads globose, no pods observed.

Supplied as "Lower slope of a hillside (NNE aspect) within a low hills landform pattern (560 m asl), growing in loamy sand associated with a sandstone substrate (Purlewaugh Sandstone geologic unit), within a Eucalyptus 'ironbark' species open forest. Common associated taxa include: Eucalyptus 'ironbark', Allocasuarina gymnanthera, Phebalium squamulosum subsp. gracile, Calytrix tetragona, Cryptandra amara, Chrysocephalum semipapposum, Gahnia aspera, Lomandra filiformis subsp. filiformis, Goodenia hederacea subsp. hederacea, Calotis cuneifolia, Austrodanthonia sp., Pomax umbellata, Lomandra multiflora subsp. multiflora, Austrostipa densiflora, Melichrus urceolatus, Olearia pimeleoides, Astroloma humifusum, Dodonaea viscosa subsp. spatulata and Microlaena stipoides var. stipoides. The site considered to be in good condition due to good structural integrity, some regeneration of canopy species, good diversity within the groundcover layer, low weeds, and historic timber cutting."
