Event remarks | Plant widespread and dominant in the ground or lower shrub layer at this locality. Island currently heavily grazed by sheep, with bare and heavily tracked areas. Previously the vegetation of Pier Head was dominated by native perennial grasses, up untill at least 2009. |

Supplied as "Lower slopes of coastal continental island. Soils of dark red-brown rocky clays derived from Early Cretaceous gabbro, leuco-diorite and granodiorite. Forbland of Sida hackettiana to 1.4m tall. Occasional tussocks of Aristida gracilipes, Stylosanthes spp., Evolvulus alsinoides and Paspalidium spp. were present. Small patches of trees and shrubs of Cupaniopsis anacardioides, Cordia dichotoma, Ficus opposita and Macaranga tanarius occurred near the Pier Head summit. There were isolated stands of Corymbia erythrophloia to 7m tall downslope." |
