Occurrence remarks Dominant in moist area. Common on site. This is the oldest name [Ruellia simplex Wright] for R. tweediana, R. coerulea and R. malacosperma. Therefore, R. simplex has priority and reduces the later names to synonymy. See: Darwinia 45(2): 201-203 (2007). Det. V. Stajsic, 18 April 2008.
