Occurrence remarks | Locally abundant (>100 plants over an area of c. 30 m x 4 m) naturalised herb to 1.7 m high. Leaves and stems glabrous. Plants in drier areas with large leaves dead. Leaves toothed, dark green above, paler below. Flowers with purple upper calyx lobe (looks like upper lip of corolla), lower calyx lobe larger than lateral lobes but smaller than upper lobe, corolla white. Many flowers finished and with green fruit forming. |
