Field notes Spreading, much-branched shrub, 1.2m tall, others to 2m. Flowers with strong, sickly smell with a distinct mousey scent. Inflorescences decurved (peduncle) through 120 degrees; secund. Perianth lilac inside, darker below curve (almost to black), lilac-purple outside overlaid with appressed silvery hairs. Nectary pale yellow-cream; ovary green with whitish hairs. Styles in bud (looping from dorsal side of perianth) mauve-pink, becoming pale lilac as flower opens. Style ends 8 pollen presenters pale straw yellow. Anthers yellow. Young
